How is it funded?
The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) is a new long-term program created by Congress to provide income-qualified Vallejo residents the chance to connect to high speed internet! Nationally, the new ACP will maintain the existing discounts of up to $30/month for eligible customers. As a matter of fact, VIP & SyberFiber will subsidize another $10/month for these customers. Therefore, this will allow residents access to 100 megabit internet for free or 1 gigabit for $19.95/month.
Henceforth, the funding for the Affordable Connectivity Program is essential for ensuring that low-income households have access to affordable internet services and can participate fully in our increasingly digital society.
